While I was restoring the paint on a very old steam locomotive known as the Mississippi, I needed a wire brush to reach into areas that other brushes couldn’t. I tried a number of variations, then realized that a piece of steel cable, also know as wire rope, would work great.
Since then, I’ve added a crimped copper handle, that’s polished and clear coated. You could make one yourself, but think of the steps involved; at this price it’s a lot easier to order one from us.
Two sizes are available. The #1 Restoration brush is larger, with an overall length of 8 inches. The wire is 1/4 inch thick. The handle is 4 inches long.
The #2 Restoration Brush is 6 inches long overall, with the wire being 1/8 inch thick, and the handle is 3 inches long.
